Stateline 04:34
Oh no, another one goes, take me back to where I know. I feel another one's real, make me come, and make it slow. I've been lost before, locked myself out the door It's been here I've led and hell knows it's been here I bled. So I go somewhere down the stateline and so I leave myself behind. Out there, lack of need, stuffed with lust and filled with greed. You've been here before, locked yourself out the door. New lands, shakin' hands, open roads and no demands, I've been here before, and hell knows that I want more.
2.
You never knew me before. These Carolina mountains know me more. Though you open doors, You never knew me before. It takes money to live a kings life, a house, a home, some land to roam, and maybe a wife. But what am I to do with you in my way? Hopefully you'll know me someday. I never saw you to be the one to find a devil in me. I never claimed to be the one with the devil in me.

Dead Man 05:53
Dead Man, hit the road again Be back but don't know why or when, Backstabbed by a brother on his side. Friends die, but only on the inside. Get lost on this jealous joyride, asleep and these things just never change. And all these things, they're up over me and I don't really care, gone, go for me and oh, he takes it slow. I know another comes and another goes And it takes so long. And I see another one comin' home with me And it takes so long.

about

Recorded from March to May 2010 in the Jennings Recording Studio at Bennington College. It was a laborious project in which we learned a lot, and we are proud of the outcome. Many thanks to Julie Last, Scott Lehrer, Leon Rothenberg, the Advanced Recording Class, Emmet Penney, Will Wright, God Almighty, and everyone who let me borrow their studio hours.

Enjoy!
